Rural Health Conference 2012

The Annual Rural Health Conference will be held October 18-19, 2012 in Solomons Island, MD at the Hilton Garden Inn Solomons

Immediately following the event think about staying in Southern Maryland for US Oyster Festival October 20-21, 2012

The goal of the conference is to support and connect rural stakeholders as they work towards improving their communities' health in an environment of diminishing resources. The conference will help present practical community and public health strategies to improve health at the local level. The conference will help participants understand the implementation of statewide policies and programs at the local rural health level; understand the impact of healthcare as an economic driver; set the stage for a 2013 Rural Health Legislative Agenda; host an annual meeting of MRHA membership; and increase knowledge by all participants on the health issues facing rural Maryland.
