Navigating Change by Connecting with Others

MRHA was pleased to host the 2011 Rural Health Conference November 3-4, 2011 in Ocean City, MD. This year's conference was a follow up to the successful 2010 Conference: Rural Matters -Emerging Health Challenges and Opportunities.

The goal of the conference was to support and connect rural stakeholders as they face challenges and change in rural health in Maryland. The conference set the stage for a 2012 Rural Health Legislative Agenda, hosted an annual meeting of MRHA membership, provided further understanding of the implication of health reform and what it means to rural Maryland, and increased knowledge by all participants on the health issues facing rural Maryland.
